Exploring the Environment
This site promotes the education of earth’s processes and human’s responsibilities in relation to them. This site is geared to the science teacher and provides modules and activities that encourage critical thinking on the many influences humans have on the environment (e.g. scientific, social, political, cultural). Online resources are included for the students.

The Interactive Frog Dissection
This site is an online frog dissection for high-school biology labs as a substitute for hands on lab techniques. It includes an introduction to the topic as well as preparation procedures.

Kapili Science List
This site provides a wealth of information in biology, physics, chemistry, astronomy, and geography. Also included are virtual tours for a more entertaining introduction to the above topics and students can email the site “lab assistants” with any questions they might have. Appropriate as an interactive tool for students grade 8-12 and a useful resource for teachers.

The Yuckiest Site on the Internet
This site, designed for kids grade K-8, is meant to educate about some of the more strange, and gross, functions of the human body. It also pays particular attention to worms and roaches, a child favorite. Included are games, message board, question center, adventures, and a teacher center.

BBC Evolution Website
The BBC site explores all aspects of evolution. It includes timelines, bibliography, feedback, and an A-Z index. Great for biology teachers and students grade 9-12.

National Science Teachers Association
Professional organization website designed to assist science teachers in instructing their students. Aids broken down into elementary, middle, high school, and college level areas.

Chem4Kids!
A chemistry site devoted to students’ age 5-11, it includes information about atoms, reactions, matter, biochemistry, and a miscellaneous. Each topic has further information to enhance the subject. Also included are activities, downloads, and a map/tour.

The ASPIRE Lab is now one of the most innovative and interactive science education websites available on the Internet. You will find not only fun interactive labs, but well designed and produced curriculum content, created by teachers for teachers. The powerful combination of inquiry-based content, along with interactive, hands-on labs provides a powerful visualization tool for you and your students to use. Best of all, the ASPIRE Lab is free!

The Eisenhower National Clearinghouse specializes in information on math and science education. In addition to the latest news, you'll find the Digital Dozen, thirteen outstanding new math/science Web sites each month.

Explore paleontology, astronomy, marine biology, and more in this site from New York City's Museum of Natural History.

General Science: Cornell Math & Science Gateway
This site has a comprehensive compilation of links to math and science sites, including astronomy, biology, computers, engineering, physics, agriculture, chemistry, earth and the environment, health and medicine, and meteorology.

General Science: Mad Scientists Network
Stumped on a science question? Ask the experts at the Mad Scientists Network. Post a new question, look through questions others have already asked, or search the site for information about your topic. You can also find great virtual labs, experiments to try at home, and projects to present at the next school science fair.

Do you watch Bill Nye, the Science Guy on television? Here's the online version of his TV show. Catch the Demo of the Day, or try one of over 40 experiments at home. Learn all about Bill, watch a video clip from the show, or even send him a question.

Odyssey Magazine is the online science magazine for young adventurers. Keep up with fast-breaking science news, check out Web cams, or enjoy monthly fun and educational highlights. Physics: The American Physical Society: A Century of Physics
This site profiles physics accomplishments in the past 100 years. For an alphabetical list of the contents, visit the index. If you prefer a chronological look, follow along decade-by-decade on the timeline, where you'll learn how the advances in science coincided with contemporary political and artistic movements.

Zoology: The National Zoo
At the Smithsonian National Zoological Park, you'll find live Webcams for a dozen animals, including pandas, komodo dragons, bats, and naked mole rats. There are also exhibits, online lectures, a virtual zoo tour, and a gallery with over 200 animal photos.

Biology: National Museum of Natural History
Visit an online exhibit and then stop by the museum's different scientific departments -- anthropology, botany, entomology, invertebrate zoology, mineral sciences, paleobiology, and vertebrate zoology -- to see which collections are online.

General Science: Exploratorium
The Exploratorium is a science museum in San Francisco where you'll always find a new online exhibit or feature. Recent favorites examined frogs, earthquakes, and the science of baseball. The Learning Studio recommends 10 new science sites each month.

A collection of astronomy related information.

History and Technology: Museum of Science and Industry
This Chicago museum, one of the largest in the western hemisphere, brings its most popular exhibits, such as the trip through a coal mine and tours of a German U-505 submarine and the Pioneer Zephyr train, online with sound and video.

Earth Science: NASA
Visit NASA online to get the latest news on space exploration and to see what the scientists are examining. Be sure to search for the NASA Organizations Index, which has links to all of NASA's individual labs, space centers, and research facilities.

Earth Science: National Air & Space Museum
At this Smithsonian museum, you'll find online exhibits and features, such as the popular Apollo to the Moon exhibit. There's also news about traveling exhibits and special events and links to other air and space Web sites.
